Final Video Project

                                                                      No Visibility:
No Audio:
Both Audio and Video:

I have created 3 different versions of this video so people of all kinds can enjoy this and still get the same message out of each video. Whether you are deaf, visually impaired, or neither, there is still a video of your kind created on how to make brownies which will allow you to follow the step by step and make this delicious dessert.

In this blog post, I edited the class video of the bottle flip. This gave us the opportunity to play around with different effects and animations within Premiere to recreate the video and still get the point across. The effects I added to the video included zooming in and out of specific spots, slow motion, and also the addition of pictures and emojis into the video. While the idea of the video has not changed, these effects add a more dramatic and suspenseful emotion. Even though there is no audio used in this, all of the actions in the clip are easy to follow through the music and other effects implemented. Including these effects such as the addition of the emojis was not too difficult as they were just imported and placed in. The scaling was then adjusted through the effects panel which gave us the ability to change the size and placement of the emoji. This also worked for some of the student's faces as we zoomed in at specific parts of the clip. As for the fire at the end, this was just a picture imported in as well. The black background of the fire was taken out due to the effects panel as well. This exposed us to using the Keying effect in the video effects tab, which gave us the ability to eliminate the black background. All in all, I enjoyed creating this version of the Bottle Flip Clip as it gave us the opportunity to play around with different effects in Premiere and have fun with making the edits in the video.

I definitely found this assignment to be the most difficult one yet. Clearing out the audio from the original video was not an issue, however, it was difficult to replace the original audio with new dialogue and sound effects to fill up the time and align with the video correctly. There are many different sound effects that could have been placed into this video, but it was challenging to find ones that would fit the video and make it sound like it was part of the original edit. Along with adding several sound effects, I also changed the background music. Even though the music was changed from the original, I tried to keep the same "rushed" feeling in the video. This assignment allowed to play around more with different effects and also adjusting the volume to the pieces added in to make them all sound appropriate for their roles in the video. All in all, even though this signalment was difficult, I feel as if I got better and more experienced with using Premiere and the different tools it has to offer.

Original Video:

Edited Video:

The original video started as the non-edited full version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow. I changed it by meshing together the original version of the song with a remixed version. The two songs came together to form the new version by the razor tool to cut each song at the appropriate parts and create the new version. The new mash up has a new beat to it and different voices coming in at various parts of the song. This was not a difficult task to create a new version of the song. However, I did enjoy playing around with the two video clips to create something new.

Blog Post #3

I have now officially begun my still image video and I decided to do a step by step video on how to make brownies. I chose this topic because brownies are a very delicious and easy treat to make. It also does not require too many complicated instructions. Through the start of this project, I am finding myself to become more comfortable with the tools of premier and the freedom to play around with the different effects and others tools within the program.

Specifically I like using the the transition effects from one picture to the next. I also enjoy creating the title slides and playing around with the different audio throughout the movie. Tools such as the razor tool have still been helpful through this process to help make the audio sound cleaner. Also the sizing of the images within the audio has to be percise in order to have the right picture up on the screen with the correct audio is being said. All in all, I am enjoying my time with premier and I look forward to continue playing around with new and different tools and I make the final edits to my project.

I definitely found this project in Premier to be more of a struggle than the work in Audition. Even though the tools of the program were not extremely different, I believe it was the overall comfort of the Audition program which made it easier to navigate around and use the tools. In my edited video, I decided to cut off the second half of the song using the razor tool along with taking off the original transitions between clips and replacing them with different ones. I also decided to change the color of the second clip from a blue to a purple color using the video effects. Lastly, I added a voice effect to make the word "rainbow" sound different than the way it was originally pronounced. With these changes made to the original video, it is completely different than the way it was in the original clip.
